Erin McNeice Secures Silver at IFSC Boulder World Cup in Bern, Switzerland

Team GB climber and Lattice athlete, Erin McNeice, has won the silver medal at the IFSC Boulder World Cup in Bern, Switzerland. After a fight on the first two boulders, topping neither, Erin came back strong on the final two: she was the only finalist to top the third boulder, a balancey, slabby vert with dual-tex holds. Erin finished second overall with 69.0 points.
Australia’s Oceania Mackenzie took the gold medal with 74.5 points to secure her country's first-ever victory in the series, while Annie Sanders of the USA claimed bronze.
Erin shared on Instagram:
"After the first two boulders, I was definitely disappointed. I’m very glad that I managed to bring it back on the last two. I do thrive under pressure, but sometimes I forget it. ‘It isn’t over till the last boulder’. Being back on the podium feels indescribable. But more, being in a final round and feeling confident. Feeling a fire and hunger for the performance means everything. After this past off season, I am very grateful for these emotions. Last year I won gold, so this comp feels very special to me, especially now! Thank you Bern! 🇨🇭🙏🏻"
