Jen Wood

Jen joined the Lattice coaching team in summer 2019, boasting 15+ years’ experience as a climber and having a solid background in competition climbing (a current member of the GB Team). Jen was British Speed Champion in 2018; Sport climbed 8b+ in Kalymnos in 2021 and; a Boulder World Cup semi-finalist in Salt Lake City 2022. Her future goals are to become a consistent finalist on World Cup tour and climb 9a outdoors!

As well as her personal climbing achievements, Jen has a Master’s degree in Biochemistry & Microbiology and a curiosity for research and academia, which she hopes to develop at Lattice. She has also gained two years’ experience of in-person coaching including running the youth competition team at Rockover, Manchester. Within her role at Lattice, Jen is most excited to learn a considerable amount about training, and is passionate about helping people achieve their climbing goals, whatever they may be.
