Personal use only
The My Fingers service is for personal use only. Use of the service for commercial gain or resale is strictly prohibited without prior written agreement from Lattice Training.
Minimum Re-Assessment Time
In order to test maximal finger strength you will be significantly stressing your fingers and arms which can increase the risk of acute injury. To help prevent this risk we advise clients to not complete testing sessions too frequently. You should aim for a minimum re-assessment period of 1 month. We reserve the right not to process data for users who we deem to be exceeding this schedule.
Finger Strength Models
MyFingers testing uses a two arm dead hang protocol to ensure testing is kept simple and practical as no pulley set ups are needed. In contrast the a full Lattice assessment uses a single arm hang. The data models for both single arm and two arm hangs are very well correlated to climbing performance, but in some cases individual characteristics of a climber’s upper body strength may create discrepancies in the model results. In all cases, we recommend working with a coach to look at these imbalances and refer to the lowest of the two testing scores when creating training goals.
